No one involved in the mediation wants to resolve the dispute more than Mr.
Smith does. He is committed to resolving the dispute from the time he is
first engaged until the matter resolves. Generally, that will be at the
conclusion of a successful mediation. Other times, it will be within a
couple of weeks of the mediation because of Mr. Smith's continued
communication with the parties and efforts to reach resolution. Indeed,
when necessary, Mr. Smith continues to attempt to assist parties in
resolving their disputes even months after the mediation.
Thus, Mr. Smith mediates cases with the understanding that the
successful conduct of a mediation of an employment-related dispute requires
a relentless commitment by the mediator to achieve resolution.
